“It’s the little things,” Daniel smiled as he poured me my favorite cup of coffee. After 13 years of marriage, I would agree. The little things are the big things. Affection throughout the day, words of encouragement, gratitude, sacrifices made to serve the other, and time together.

Daniel and I realize that ministry is not what we do, it’s who we are. So we are very committed to strengthening our marriage. A strong marriage is the best gift we give our children, and the strength from which we bless others.

We had a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Victoria Falls in Livingstone to celebrate 13 years of marriage. We have been through a lot! But God is gracious and we love each other more every day.

As we prepare to launch the University of Zambia church plant alongside a national team, lead marriage conferences, and the Gap Year Program at Chikumbuso, we see that our journey of forgiving and overcoming in marriage has opened doors for us to minister to others.

“Marriage has the power to set the course of your life as a whole. If your marriage is strong, even if all the circumstances in your life around you are filled with trouble and weakness, it won’t matter. You will be able to move out into the world in strength.”
-Timothy Keller

Here’s to many more years together!

After reading 1 John, we asked what can we do to live like Jesus? They responded, "Go finish our neighbor's hut!" So off we went.

Our last day in Livingstone we had the privilege of going to the village with Love’s Door. After reading 1 John, we asked what can we do to live like Jesus? They responded, “Go finish our neighbor’s hut!” So off we went.

Had the privilege of visiting an unreached people group called the Toka Leya with Love's Door!

Found out that night that this is an unreached people group! Please pray for the Toka Leya to know and worship Jesus!
